ADHD Support Group – For parents of children with ADHD or thought to have ADHD. Meets the 3rd Monday of each month (changed from 3rd Wednesday) from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Sipe’s Orchard Home offices on County Home Road in Conover. Childcare is provided. For more information, please call Allison Simpson at 464-7384. Sponsored by CCPN.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group - Meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. at the Catawba County Parenting Network office. Childcare is provided. For more information, contact Nancy Riddick-McClelland at 466-5181. Sponsored by CCPN.
You and Me, Baby! – A monthly learning and fellowship opportunity for moms of babies from birth to 2 years. Meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Auditorium on the lower level of Catawba County Library in Newton. For more information, call the Parenting Network at 465-8151. Sponsored by CCPN and the Parents as Teachers program.
Sensory Integration – For parents/caregivers of children with sensory integration issues (difficulty experiencing touch, sound or movement). Group meets the last Tuesday of every other month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Children’s Neurotherapy Services in Hickory.

Parenting Network works to improve the well-being of children and
families in Catawba County by providing high quality parenting
education and support programs as well as timely referral to other
family resources. The CCPN is a program of Catawba County Schools
and is primarily funded by the Catawba County Partnership for
Children (Smart Start). Additional funding is provided by the Beaver
Family Foundation, Catawba County United Way, Catawba Valley Medical
Center, The Department of Juvenile Justice, Hickory Public Schools,
