Catawba County Parenting Network invites you to honor a child, parent or other special person in your life with a “Hands and Hearts” tribute tile.

For a contribution of $50, you (or the honoree you designate) can hand paint a 6” x 6” pottery tile that will be prominently displayed in the new Parenting Network facility. Your tax-deductible contribution to the “Hands and Hearts” project will assist the Parenting Network in furthering its mission to provide families in Catawba County with the parenting education, support and resources they need.

Through CCPN’s partnership with Bisque ‘n Beads (located on Union Square in downtown Hickory), you or the person you are honoring may create original artwork using either a handprint or heart shape. (A pre-painted family scene is also available.) Below the artwork, a Bisque ‘n Beads employee can hand paint the name of the honoree if desired. The tile will then be glazed, fired and mounted for display in the conference room of the Parenting Network.

The Catawba County Parenting Network is affiliated with Catawba County Schools, Hickory City Schools, Newton Conover Schools, Catawba Valley Community College and Catawba Valley Medical Center.

Created in 1999, the Catawba County Parenting Network is primarily funded by the Catawba County Partnership for Children (Smart Start) and is a program of Catawba County Schools. The Network works with families in Catawba County Schools, Newton-Conover Schools and Hickory Public Schools. Additional funding for the Network is provided by the Beaver Family Foundation, Catawba County United Way, Catawba Valley Medical Center, The Department of Juvenile Justice, The Duke Endowment, More At Four Pre-Kindergarten Program and The Unifour Foundation, Inc.
